The Deeper Meaning
The color grey in the company’s name represents a deep understanding of both black hat and white hat cybersecurity practices—a balanced mastery of defense, strategy, and ethical hacking. It reflects the nuanced skill set of a true expert: someone who not only understands threats but also how to counter and prevent them. This balance is at the core of the company’s commitment to excellence in both technology and soft skills development.
The name Greywolf was coined by Gemma Rose Dublan, CEO and co-founder, whose background in open-source technologies and passion for human development fueled the creation of an organization with both technical depth and a heart for advocacy. Alongside Jeian Nueva, a fellow advocate and expert in open-source platforms and cybersecurity, the two combined over a decade of experience—starting from their work in the Drupal community in 2012—to establish a company that champions digital empowerment, open knowledge, and cyber defense.

Their journey began in the open-source community, where they were exposed not only to the power of collaborative software but also to the increasing threats and vulnerabilities in the online world.
